During a recent outreach in Côte d’Ivoire, I met Konate Ibrahim, a teenage boy who has been living in vulnerable circumstances for several years. He shared that he left home due to mistreatment from his father and stepmother.
Konate has not seen his mother for over ten years; the last information he had was that she was in Burkina Faso. That day, he and the other young people he stayed with on the streets had not eaten all day. We were grateful to provide them with a hot meal, offering not only nourishment but also a moment of care and comfort.
Encounters like this highlight why Fondation Coeur Dedior exists: to provide support, hope, and opportunities for young people facing difficult circumstances.
Every small act counts. Together, we can make a difference.
